Supreme Leader strongly condemns Gaza massacre,
declares Monday day of mourning
All true believers in the world of Islam and
Palestinian fighters are duty-bound to
defend the defenseless women and children in
Gaza Strip and those giving their lives
in carrying out such a divine duty are
'martyrs', said the Supreme Leader.
The Leader Today called on Arab states to stop
what he called Zionist (Israeli)
wolves from committing "further crimes" against
Palestinians in Gaza.
He asked leaders of the Muslim world how long
they wanted to maintain their silence
on Israel's military aggression.
The Leader declared Monday a public day of
mourning to mark the hundreds killed in
the Israeli raids on Gaza.
"It is time to question Ulema and clerics in
Arab countries as well as the Grand
Mufti of al-Azhar whether it is not a very
critical time to feel the danger posed to
Islam and Muslims," asked the Supreme Leader.
"To what extent will the intellectuals and
media in Arab countries remain
indifferent towards carrying out their duties?"

A group recitation of Surat Yasin, followed by
Dua Kumayl. Dua Kumayl is a
beautiful supplication in praise of Allah SWT
asking for His mercy and
forgiveness. Sayyed Ibn Tawoos and Sheikh Al-Tusi
(prominent scholars from
the Shia school of thought) mention this dua with
a sanad back to Kumayl
Ibn Ziyad Al-Nakha'i,a confidant amongst the
companions of Imam Ali Ibn Abi
Talib (ra). According to the narrations, this dua
is originally the dua of
Khidher(a)and was taught to Kumayl by Imam Ali (ra).
